As well as adding a fruity decoration to product cranberries can also be used to gently exfoliate skin. They are rich in tocotrienols and tocopherols that together make up vitamin E, giving cranberry oil protective and antioxidant properties. They also contain benzoic acid which acts as a natural preservative.
Description
Cranberry is an evergreen shrub grown in America and Canada. The cranberry fruit is traditionally used to make juice, sauces, nut breads, and to add colour to other fruit dishes. Cold-pressing the seeds from the cranberries makes the golden cranberry seed oil. Cranberry seed oil has the highest unsaturated oil content of all the fruit oils. It is very easily absorbed by the skin, contributing to the skins lipid barrier it is highly nourishing, moisturising and is used in many cosmetic products to assist in retaining moisture.
