Figs naturally contain acids, enzymes and vitamins A and C which help cleanse, tone and brighten the skin. Figs add shine and gloss to the hair, and their seeds provide a gentle exfoliating action when added to soap.
The common fig tree is grown for its fruits, which are actually inside-out flowers that contain tiny seeds and have a mild, sweet taste. We make our decoction by boiling figs in water and then straining out the pulp. The nutrient-rich liquid is added to our products.
