INGREDIENT
Fresh Figs
Conditioning and nutritious
Fig trees belong to a large family of plants, many of which are cultivated for their beautiful leaves. The common fig (Ficus carica) is grown for its fruits which are actually inside-out flowers. They contain tiny seeds; they have a chewy texture and a sweet taste. The fruits can come in many colours, shapes and sizes.
Description
Figs prefer a hot and dry climate. The leading producer of figs is Turkey, but they are also farmed in Egypt, Greece, Iran, Morocco and USA. Figs have been cultivated since at least 5000 BC and they were sacred to the Romans. They contain acids, enzymes and vitamins A and C.
Fresh figs condition skin and add shine to hair. They also help to nourish and condition the skin, and their seeds provide a gentle exfoliating action.
