Fresh Green Grapes

Enzymatic Cleansing

In cosmetics, grape juice is a desirable ingredient for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The juice is rich in malic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). AHAs help to restore moisture, exfoliate the skin’s top layers and aid absorption of other ingredients. We take fresh green grapes, blend them, squeeze out the juice through a muslin cloth and then add it to some of our fresh products for their beneficial properties.

Description Fresh green grapes help to degrease the skin and give a thorough cleanse without stripping moisture from the skin. They also help apply absorbant powders onto the skin to keep them absorbing excess oil and sweat throughout the day, such as in T’eo solid deodorant. Varieties of grape are eaten as fruit, dried to produce raisins, currants and sultanas, or crushed to make juice and wine. 'The queen of fruits', as grape is sometimes known, has excellent properties as a medicinal plant. When eaten, they are anti-viral, rich in antioxidants and are recommended for those recovering from illness. There are several species in the genus Vitis (family Vitaceae) and Vitis vinifera is the most commonly used in winemaking. Grape cultivation (Viticulture) has undoubtedly been fuelled by humankind's fascination with stimulating drinks, and wine is certainly one of the most popular choices. Produce from grapes, including wine, was very important to the Romans as a major source of revenue. Grapes, raisins, wine and vinegar were precious trade items in the ancient Near East. Grape is the generic name given to the berry of a grape vine plant. There are several species that make up the genus Vitis (family Vitaceae) and it is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Some of the earliest records of the plant's cultivation exist in Egypt, dated around 4000 BC. The grape (Vitis vinifera) is thought to have been growing wild throughout the world long before the arrival of humans. Our most common grape is one of the oldest cultivated plants. The grape vine is a woody, climbing plant in most areas, but in arid regions, it can form an erect shrub. The grapes grow in clusters, ranging in colour from black and blue to red and white.
