Oranges have astringent, cleansing properties that help the skin and hair to glow.
The sweet orange is a flowering tree with glossy, evergreen leaves and thorny branches, and it is thought to be native to China and the Far East. The trees now grow all over the world. Their juicy, orange-coloured fruits are a type of berry called hesperidium.
Oranges benefits are thought to come from the potassium, folic acid, and large amounts of vitamin C, which together with lutein helps to improve skin's elasticity. The fruits are also conditioning the hair, leaving it tangle-free and full of shine.
Fruits infusions are made in-house at Lush manufactures, by cutting the fruits, wrap them in a pice of muslin which is then dipped into hot water and left to infuse.
