Meadowsweet and Orange Peel Infusion

Meadowsweet and Orange Peel Infusion

toning and soothing

One of the sacred druids plant, meadowsweet grows at the edges of ponds and in damp woodlands and produces fragrant white flowers. Its leaves are infused in boiled water with the astringent and zesty orange peel, producing a very toning and soothing water.

Meadowsweet (Spiraea ulmaria) has been used for medicinal purposes since the Bronze Age. Today, this soothing herb is used to calm irritations as well as to tone and clear the skin, thanks to its astringent properties. The orange tree (Citrus dulcis) has glossy, evergreen leaves and fragrant white flowers. The bright colour, uplifiting scent and sweet taste of the fruits made them very popular through centuries, favoured especially by royalty and featured in many cultural traditions to symbolise fertility, prosperity and good luck. Astringent and antimorcrobial, orange's juice and oils help the skin to glow.
