Thanks to its solvent and carrier properties, Dipropylene glycol is a lot used in cosmetics, especially in perfumes. It sticks to fragrance molecule and helps them to disperse slowly, changing the strength of a perfume. More or less dipropylene glycol in a formula means differents notes strength.
Dipropylene glycol also helps different essential oils, absolutes and fragrance materials to bind together, giving a great control of viscosity.
